John Travolta

Between his parents, it’s safe to say John Travolta got his love for acting from his mother, who worked as an actress, director, and singer before becoming a drama and English teacher. For his start in the acting scene, he began his journey as a stage actor, with one of his earliest gigs being for a production of Grease. After some time, he got his first on-screen role, a bit character in an episode of Emergency. After that, four years later, he landed a more significant part in the 1976 horror film Carrie.

Since then, Travolta has made quite a name for himself in the industry. As a severe case of coming full circle, one of the actor’s iconic roles is his performance in the film adaptation of the musical Grease. Since then, before recently taking a hiatus from acting, other projects he worked on include Broken Arrow, Pulp Fiction, and American Crime Story. His latter performance as a lawyer earned him a Primetime Emmy Award.
