The Hulk/Bruce Banner – Marvel Cinematic Universe
Comic book movies have been a thing for years already. However, in more recent years, its popularity rose to even greater degrees thanks to the massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. Debuting back in 2008 with the hit film Iron Man, the MCU has since produced many movies and series taking place in the same universe, introducing more characters as they go. One such hero who got his start during the franchise’s earlier years is the Hulk.
Released the same year as Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk follows the story of Bruce Banner/Hulk, portrayed by Edward Norton. While fans praised his performance in the film, Norton didn’t return for subsequent MCU installments and was replaced by Mark Ruffalo, who has since become near-synonymous with the character. Although Norton initially expressed his concern that working on a mainstream franchise might keep him from dabbling in other projects, the actor has also shown interest in returning to the MCU in the future.
